The crisis of land use is prevalent all over the world,with various separation zones,band business streets and the highways continuously consuming our green open space,which results in the animal habitats fragmented;forest development ability greatly reduced;air pollution and smog increasingly serious;the water supply threatened;the natural system damaged without its function and utility playing any more.Consequently,all of these give rise to immeasurable negative impacts on the basic function of the natural system which insures the health and peace of people.Moreover,the long-term development of economy and environment can’t do without the support of the natural system.Therefore,it is necessary to maintain and protect our landscape and water system.Our people need a new way and perspective to observe the land around us-ecological infrastructure."Green Infrastructure" coauthored by Mark A.Benedict,and Edward T.McMahon points out that the construction of ecological Infrastructure can be started once there is a mission statement that can be used to clarify its objective and shared vision.The design of ecological basis definitely represents the expected goals and objectives,such as the protection and recovery of water resources,the protection of the rural characteristics and the natural ecological system,etc.Different design goals and objectives may have various characteristics and trade-offs of ecological infrastructure.From the perspective of protecting urban natural water system,this article attempts to strike a balance between natural ecological properties and human dominant landscape attributes by building urban ecological infrastructure.The first chapter illuminates the research background and the necessity,the research purpose and its significance,the research methods,objectives and the research framework of constructing ecological infrastructure based on the drainage system.The second chapter introduces the characteristics of the hilly city water system,the concept of ecological infrastructure and basic theory related with ecological infrastructure.Furthermore,it points out the research focus of this paper.The third chapter is to build water system as the basis of hilly urban ecological infrastructure network and environment-friendly engineering structure at a macroscopic,microscopic and policy level to ensure the economy,practicability,political nature,and feasibility of the urban ecological infrastructure construction.The fourth chapter,from the perspective of hydraulics,hydrology,etc.will calculate the data of ecological infrastructure construction with drainage system as basis,such as rainstorm peak flow,section design data,corridor suitability density calculation,etc.to ensure water landscape,water pattern construction during specific implementation of ecological infrastructure.The fifth chapter summarizes the research results of this paper and points out its shortcomings and the outlook in the field of ecological infrastructure.The article proceeds from both qualitative and quantitative aspects.By combining the rhino software and GIS software to analyze the characteristics of the base,it aims to achieve the symbiotic harmony of the mountain,water and cities with the water system as its base and the river basin as the background.
