The project progress control plays a key role in project construction,because it is related to whether the progress target of the project can be achieved.With the development of China's economy and the improvement of construction industry technology,the constructional engineering is becoming more and more complicated,but the deficiency of traditional progress control in low efficiency,progress planning and control difficulties makes itself unable to adapt to the development of construction engineering.The emergence of Building Information Modeling(BIM)technology provides a new solution to the progress control of constructional engineering.The use of BIM technology can effectively reduce the occurrence of rework and strengthen the manager's control force of progress conrtrol,which can significantly improve the efficiency of progress conrtrol.Seeing that the application of BIM technology in the construction stage has just started,the application and research in the progress control is not yet mature,and the typical success cases are absent,this paper studies the application of BIM technology in the progress control of construction projects,in order to explore the new method to improve the level of the progress control.This paper analyzes the contents and principles of traditional progress plan and progress control from the aspects of the theory and method of traditional progress control,and dissects the existing problems and causes of traditional progress control.Secondly,By studying the characteristics and data standards of BIM technology,the feasibility of BIM technology for progress control is clarified.Thirdly,this paper builds the application framework and steps of BIM technology in progress control,gradually from the creation of the professional 3D model to the 4D model,using the powerful functions of BIM software in collision detection,site layout,construction progress simulation and so on to solve the existing problems in the control of progress;Finally,taking the project of an apartment as an example,this paper makes a comprehensive application analysis on the progress control of BIM technology based on the previous theoretical research,which validates the superiority and validity of BIM technology in the progress control.
