With the continuous evolution of the global value chain system of work,the automotive industry,which is the crown of industry,has built a unique division of labor system in the wave of globalization.Although China has become the world’s largest auto market,due to late development,backwardness in core technology,and weak brand strength,it can only passively accept the leadership of foreign automotive multinationals.In other words,in this system,the new industrial countries represented by China are still at the low end of the value chain.Therefore,from the perspective of global value chain,we must use value-added trade as a statistical method to calculate the value composition of China’s auto industry’s exports,and promote China’s auto industry to climb upwards.Based on the relevant theories of the global value chain and the WWZ decomposition method,this paper focuses on the deconstruction of the added value of China’s auto industry exports.Firstly,this paper sorts out the literature research related to value-added trade,value-added deconstruction,and the global value chain of the automotive industry.It is determined that the non-competitive input-output model is used in this paper to use the WWZ decomposition method to deconstruction of China’s automobile industry export value added.Secondly,this paper uses the latest inter-country input-output tables provided by WIOD database to deconstruct the global value chain of China’s auto industry from the industrial chain and country level based on the WWZ decomposition method.The study concludes that China’s auto industry has a relatively high domestic value added,but its internal structure is unreasonable and it is still at the low end of the profit cycle.However,the links between the sectors have been continuously strengthened,and the degree of integration into the global value chain is deepening.At the same time,the increase of value flows into the spatial structure has also changed,which has dispersed the impact of international demand fluctuations on China.Finally,combined with the characteristics of China’s auto industry’s exports are still concentrated in the low value-added links and China’s "Mid-term and long-term development plan for the automotive industry," put forward countermeasures and suggestions.Using the "One Belt and One Road" development opportunity to strengthen innovation and independent brand building,improve the competitiveness of parts and components industries,form economies of scale in the automotive industry,and promote the integration of the automobile service industry and the manufacturing industry.To achieve the transformation of China’s automobile industry from a big automobile country to a powerful automobile country.
