Construction is regarded as the key sign of the economic activity in every corner of the world.Risk and uncertainty are inherent in all construction work no matter what is the size of the project.Although the size of the project is one of the major causes of the risk,others factor that carries risk is the speed of the project,location of the project,technology being used and experience with construction work.Most of the construction projects completed with the cost overrun in the range of 50%and sometimes over 100%.Therefore risks should be well-managed in all project life cycle failure to manage it may result in bad reputation and loss future trust.The general objective of this study is to identify key risks and give suggestion to risk facing Chinese Construction firms operating in Tanzania.An interview conducted with 10 respondents and 300 questionnaires were adrministered and distributed to constructions professional from Chinese construction company,Ministry of Infrastructure,Communication and Transportation and Consultant.The data was analyzed by using Weighting Score Methods.The result findings indicate that the Chinese construction firms operating in Tanzania are facing with the Tax rate,Shortage of electricity,Riot,delay of material,disputes and strikes,site safety,labour and material fuctuation,shortage of equipment,injuries and accidents,security and crimes,wastage of materials,Import-export restrictions and Delays in obtaining required raw materials quantity.
