With the steady growth of world population and the increase of energy consumption,too much carbon emissions cause the greenhouse effect.And it brings the global climate change which has become a global problem.So energy saving and emission reduction become an important consensus for the governments.From the 1970s,the energy saving problem of hydraulic system has been studied abroad.Energy-saving hydraulic pumps are developed,and the constant pressure variable pump comes into being.Constant pressure variable pump can maintain a constant system pressure,and its flow can adapt the load,in the variable control range.Those characteristics make the system working in not or less overflow condition,to meet the requirements of energy conservation and emissions reduction.This paper briefly describes the background,concept and development of constant pressure variable plunger pump,and the design of a new type one.For its movement characteristics,it is called two-dimensional(2D)piston constant pressure variable pump.The main research work and results are as follows:(1)The working principle of 2D piston constant pressure variable pump was introduced,and the overall structure was designed using UG software.The 2D pump core,roller CAM group,bearing,accumulator and other important structural parameters were designed and calculated,and the main force elements were analyzed.(2)The characteristic analysis of 2D piston constant pressure variable pump was carried out,including the cavitation mechanism and efficiency analysis.The calculation results showed that the pump's leakage was limited and its overall efficiency was high.(3)The 2D pump core and other parts of the pump were modeled and simulated by using AMESim software,and the flow characteristics and pressure characteristics were analyzed respectively.The conclusion provided theoretical basis for the pump's latter parameter optimization.(4)No-load flow test and load flow test were carried out on the pump.The results showed the design rationality and more efficiency than the traditional ones.The 2D piston constant pressure variable pump,which is characterized by light and fast response,has a novel structure and a great breakthrough in performance.
