As population constantly grows and a large-scaled consumption era arrives, the high efficiency and energy-saving product has been more and more popular. The constant pressure pump has just been developed under this background. The purpose of this dissertation is studying the property of the pump and put forward a doable scheme for the possible problem. There are many ways to study the variable piston pump and computer simulation is an intuitive one to study its performance. It is simple, can provide guidance basis to the designer, shorten the development cycle, save a lot of manpower, which has important effect on the further research and application of piston pump.This article adopts the method of combining the computer simulation and experimental research. First, necessary theory is introduced. Then, build the model of pressure-compensated pump element respectively in the AMESim parts, on the basis of element modeling, build the model of system pressure control and flow control part of the establishment and parameter setting. In AMESim, a hydraulic simulation software, this project studied the pressure-compensated axial plunger pump of steady state and dynamic characteristic simulation, obtain the simulation theory curve. Finally, build test platform for pump, valve, many experiments are done for study variable piston pump, get the experimental curve under the condition of the input, and compare the simulation results with the test results, analysis the reasons of errors occurring in curve.This article verifies the dynamic characteristics of variable piston pump through simulation and experiments. The conclusions provide the theoretical basis for the next design and performance improvement of pressure-compensated pump, which has certain research value.
