PTN Application And Research In Power System Communication

As one of the important carrier and an effective way to develop a low-carbon economy,the smart grid is written to the government work report for the first time in 2010,marking the smart grid has been attached great importance to the party and the country.From smart grid information technology,automation,interactive features easy to see,an important position in the smart grid in which information and communication.Currently,in the context of the rapid development of the smart grid,in addition to protection business line is still TDM(Time Division Multiplex,time division multiplexing)circuit-switched,the large number of business applications quickly to packet-based,network-based converters,IP data services communications network capacity accounted for more than 90%,and keep trying to improve the trend.Sudden strong data services,bandwidth capacity,bound to have reliability,network bandwidth,quality of service,network management and emergency support capabilities of the entire power system communication network put forward new demands.With the power group operation system,deepening lean and smart grid construction management,a lot of marketing,management,multimedia services will be integrated into the electric power communication network,type of business will turn the traditional 64k,2M small particles,such as low-rate TDM services GE,10GE and other large particles IP services.However,in the conventional electric power system communication SDH/MSTP(Multi-Service Transfer Platform,multi-service delivery platform)technology and data network technology to power IP bearer service has shown a powerless state.At present,MPLS-TP based PTN technology has been gradually popularized in the service provider network,and constantly improve its OAM network protection and scalability to meet the requirements of telecom networks.Therefore,widespread deployment of PTN network in power communication network technical conditions have matured,the power system communication bearer network reform and innovation is imperative.PTN(Packet Transport Network,packet transport network)network as an independent in SDH/MSTP network and data network services for IP transport network will provide reliable communications support development of smart grids.Requirements for the new power system communication network,this paper proposed the use of PTN network technology in power system communication network in order to meet the increasing traffic at this stage of the channel bandwidth and transmission quality requirements,consistent with the long-term development of electric power communication network needs.This paper begins with the smart grid business requirements analysis to start,the definition of smart grid construction conditions for a simple introduction,and then discusses the specific networking PTN equipment and highlights the Shandong Electric Power PTN networking solutions,and finally from Qos feature PTN network,OAM mechanisms,network synchronization and network protection four in-depth study of the principles and characteristics of the work of PTN network.
