| Passages of urban railway station are important facilities for passenger’s transfer,entering,and exiting station.The passage usually gathers a large number of passengers especially during peak hours.T-shaped passage is a common transfer passage which has the complex structure of flow streamline.Thus,pedestrian traffic congestion easily occurs,which cases safety hazard and deteriorated service of urban railway station.Therefore,it is essential to improve pedestrian efficiency of passage to enhance the pedestrian travel experience and service degree.In this paper,based on the survey of pedestrian behavior,the pedestrian walking process model is developed.The proposed model is improved on social force model accommodating the pedestrian flow,direction,types,and structure of passage.Furthermore,the traffic efficiency of pedestrian under different scenes is developed based on simulation to enhance the traffic efficiency of pedestrian in passages.The main contributions are as follows:(1)Analyze the effect factors of pedestrian walking process based on the survey of geometrical attributes,structure of passage,and pedestrian flow in the T-shaped passages of subway station.Select the stations with typical characteristics passenger flow.Based on survey,the proportion of different types of pedestrians and the speed of pedestrians in different densities are obtained,which support for pedestrian walking process model and simulation under different scenarios.(2)The pedestrian walking process model improved on social force model is developed under the changing direction and company of pedestrian.Based on survey data,the parameters of proposed model are determined.The pedestrian walking process model under company of pedestrians is simulated,whose results coincide with the investigation.(3)Based on survey data,the traffic efficiency of pedestrian are analyzed applying for simulation,which considers four aspects such as pedestrian flow,direction(e.g.,branch flow,confluence flow,bidirectional flow),structure of passage(e.g.,width,connection,slope),and pedestrian types(e.g.,pedestrian with different genders,pedestrians with luggage,pedestrians with company,and pedestrians with playing cellphone).Simulation analyzes the traffic efficiency of pedestrian in different scenarios.Loading different numbers of pedestrian in different scenarios gets the passing time of pedestrians in T-shaped passage.In this paper,effects of the pedestrian traffic efficiency are analyzed compared with the simulation results between different scenarios.(4)The numerical experiments are implemented in case of the T-shaped passage of Beijing urban railway Fuxingmen station.The structure of flow with different types of pedestrian is optimum based on the proposed model.Moreover,the pedestrian traffic efficiency in T-shaped passages before and after improvement is evaluated by catastrophe progression method. |
