| In recent years, the richness of cell phone functions, the accelerated pace of life and the increased work pressure have led to the increasing reliance on cell phones, and it has become a common phenomenon for people to use cell phones during walking. In order to study the distraction behavior of pedestrians using cell phones during walking in subway passages and to investigate the traffic characteristics of distracted pedestrians in the passages, this paper uses microscopic simulation to reasonably reproduce the pedestrian behavior and provide a reliable basis for the study of pedestrian flow patterns containing distracted pedestrians. This paper analyzes the behavioral characteristics of distracted pedestrians in subway passageways and improves the relevant pedestrian traffic theory through the idea of "Pedestrian Behavior Observation-Behavioral Characteristic AnalysisMathematical Modeling-Simulation Modeling-Model Verification-Example Study",which provides a reliable basis for subsequent pedestrian studies in similar scenarios. The main research contents of this paper include.(1)Analysis of pedestrian traffic characteristics in subway station passages.Based on the actual measurement data of Dongdan subway station in Beijing, the pedestrian movement characteristics and movement patterns in the subway passageway are analyzed. The distracted walking behavior is defined, and the individual characteristic parameters of distracted pedestrians and their traffic behavior characteristics are analyzed.(2)Social force modeling considering distracted walking behavior.Drawing on the classical social force model, the social force model considering distracted pedestrians’ visual field perception, walking decision and gait control is established in this paper. The model considers the partial visual field loss of distracted pedestrians and sets the central and edge visual fields of distracted pedestrians;considers the difference between the expected speed and reaction time of distracted pedestrians and corrects the self-driven force of distracted pedestrians;divides the individual spatial domain of distracted pedestrians as well as considers pedestrian perceptual anisotropy and improves the psychological repulsion of pedestrians;introduces the same-directional following force of distracted pedestrians and reflects the following behavior of distracted pedestrians.(3)Parameter calibration and simulation implementation of the social force model considering distracted walking behavior. The parameters involved in the model are calibrated, and the simulation program is written in Python to realize the simulation of pedestrian flow in the subway channel containing distracted pedestrians. The validity of the pedestrian social force model for subway passages considering distracted pedestrians is verified from two perspectives: the reproduction of pedestrian microscopic behavior and the comparative analysis of actual measurement data.(4)Simulation example study and result analysis.Based on the data of Dongdan Station, the effects of different distracted pedestrian ratios and different channel widths on distracted pedestrians, normal pedestrians and the average speed of pedestrian flow are investigated in the same direction flow and two-way flow scenarios, respectively. The effect of channel width change on the speed of pedestrians in the channel under the influence of distracted pedestrians is considered, and a suitable range of channel width values is obtained. It helps to improve the pedestrian traffic flow theory including distracted pedestrians, and helps to develop a scientific and reasonable pedestrian flow organization and management strategy. |
