"The mid and long-term railway network plan",which was issued jointly by the Ministry of transportation,China Railway Corporation and the national development and Reform Commission in July 2016,drew a grand blueprint of the eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed rail network in the new period.It means that the construction of high speed railway has opened a new chapter in our country.The construction of high speed railway in Shandong is also in full swing.The Jiaozhou-Jinan railway,Beijing-Shanghai railway,and Qingdao-Rongcheng intercity railway has been completed and opened to traffic.The economic impact of high speed rail on the cities along the line has become a hot issue in recent domestic scholars'research.In this paper,a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis is adopted,and it is easy to understand the current status of relevant at home and abroad research by literature and analysis of the impact of the high speed rail on the specialization of the city by using the relevant theories.Theoretical analysis is made on accessibility,urban economic theory,scale economy theory,spatial structure theory,factor endowment theory,knowledge spillover theory,industrial evolution theory and new economic geography theory.Difference-in-differences model is used for making the empirical analysis.A lot of controlled variables are introduced in this paper,such as accessibility and knowledge stocks.The level of urban specialization can be measured in the aspect of absolute specialization,relative specialization and function specialization.Also,the influence of high speed rail on the level of urban specialization can be measured by using different representation methods of urban specialization.According to theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,several main conclusions can be made in this paper.The operation and construction of high speed rail improves the accessibility of the region,then promotes the circulation of intercity elements,and impacts on the city's economic activities,space structure,industrial structure and the specialized division of labor in the city.There is no remarkable negative correlation between high-speed rail and the level of absolute professionalization.Also,there is a significant positive correlation between high-speed rail and the level of relative specialization and functional specialization.In three kinds of measuring methods of city specialization,the relative specialization is more comprehensive and systematic,and connected to high-speed rail.
