The Central Plains urban agglomeration,as an important strategic node of China's"One Belt and One Road" and China's fourth economic growth pole, shoulders the important task of undertaking resource transfer in eastern China, exporting resources in the western region, and promoting the rise of Central China.Under the strategy of urban agglomerations, economic growth among cities tends to have a certain spatial spillover effect, and railways,as a link between the social and economic development of cities, have a great influence on the spatial economic activities among cities.Economic growth, urbanization, accessibility and changes in the strength of economic linkages. In order to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the impact of the development of railways in the Central Plains urban agglomeration on the spatial economic activities, this paper sorts out the mechanism of the influence of railway development on the spatial economic activities, and analyzes the economic growth, urbanization, and railway development of the Central Plains urban agglomerations during the period 2006-2016.The status quo and changes in spatial distribution were studied, and the changes in accessibility and economic intensities during the period were calculated. On the basis of this,by constructing the 0-1 adjacency matrix and the shortest transit time of railways in 2009 and 2016 as the spatial weight matrix,a spatial econometric approach was used to compare the effects of railways and other influencing factors on space economic activities under different stages of railway development.Affect the difference. The study finds that there is indeed a significant spatial spillover effect in the economic growth of the Central Plains urban agglomeration, and the development of the railway, especially the construction of the high-speed railway, has greatly increased the accessibility and economic linkage between the cities of the Central Plains and the cities and promoted the spillover effect.Factors such as actual use of foreign capital, investment in fixed capital, and employment at the end of the year also have a significant positive effect on spatial economic activities;without considering spatial correlation, using traditional econometric methods for research will lead to overestimation.Impact of various factors on economic growth. In addition, this article also focuses on the urbanization level of the Central Plains urban agglomeration. The study found that the urbanization rate of the Central Plains urban agglomeration is gradually lower than the national average, and the development of the railway can increase the impact of urbanization factors on economic growth..Finally,based on the research conclusions, this paper puts forward some policy suggestions on economic development, railways and urbanization construction,so as to promote the coordinated development of the economy of the Central Plains agglomeration.
