Early scholars did not consider spatial factors when studying the role of transportation infrastructure in economic growth.With the promotion and use of spatial econometrics,scholars began to include spatial factors into the research category,and believed that there is a spatial spillover effect of transportation infrastructure on economic growth.If the spatial spillover effect is not considered,the role of the local transport infrastructure will be overestimated.Since different scholars have different research objects,scopes and research methods,the current research has not reached a consistent conclusion.There are also differences in the spatial spillover effects of different periods,different regions and different transportation infrastructures.Therefore,by studying the spatial spillover effects of highway transportation infrastructure of Shaanxi Province,it is of great significance to optimize the investment decision of Shaanxi highway transportation infrastructure at this stage.Firstly,based on theoretical analysis,this paper defines the definition of related concepts,and proposes that the network and externality of transportation infrastructure and spatial dependence of economic development are the basis of spatial spillover effects.Then analyze the path of spatial spillover effects of highway transportation infrastructure that produce spatial spillover effects by influencing regional specialized division of labor,factor flows,and industrial agglomerationSecondly,using descriptive analysis method to analyze the development status and spatial distribution of highway transportation infrastructure and economic growth of Shaanxi Province,it is found that highway transportation infrastructure and economic growth are developing rapidly,and it is in the forefront of the western provinces,but still lags behind the eastern provinces.The problem facing Shaanxi province at present is the development gaps between different cities and regions are large,and the regional development is unbalanced.In addition,Shaanxi Province centered on Xi'an presents the distribution pattern of the center periphery and the spatial agglomeration characteristics of economic growth indicate that there may be spatial autocorrelation.Thirdly,using exploratory spatial statistical analysis method proves that there is positive spatial autocorrelation of economic growth in Shaanxi Province,and economic growth is not spatially distributed,so empirical analysis needs to adopt spatial econometric model.According to the model test,finally adopting the Spatial Dubin Model.After effect decomposition,it is found that there is a positive spatial spillover effect of the highway infrastructure in Shaanxi province,indicating that the improvement of local high way transportation infrastructure,not only promotes local economic growth,but also drives the development of the surrounding cities.Therefore economic growth is not based on the interests of the surrounding cities.Furthermore,from the perspective of subdivision road types,the direct effect and spatial spillover effect of primary roads are not significant,while the direct effects,spatial spillover effects and economic growth contribute of highways are less than low-grade highways,indicates that high-grade roads have a limited role in promoting economic growth.However,the highway space spillover effect has the highest contribution to economic growth,which indicates that the expressway has more obvious effects on the surrounding cities,and it is more conducive to promoting regional economic growth.Finally,based on the above conclusions,it is proposed to increase the investment and construction of highway transportation infrastructure in Shaanxi Province,focus on optimizing the highway transportation infrastructure system in northern and southern Shaanxi,and strengthen the construction of high-grade highway transportation infrastructure.Besides it is also important that the government rationally programme highway traffic layout and broaden the channels for highway transportation infrastructure...
