Study On The Protection And Renewal Design Of Historic Buildings In Lili Ancient Town

Located in Wujiang District,Suzhou,an ancient town named Lili is the junction of Jiangsu,Zhejiang,and Shanghai.Lili,Tongli,Wuxing's Zhili,and Changshu's Guri are known as four files in southern Yangtze river.As a representative of the ancient water towns in southern Yangtze river,Lili has become a new destination for tourism in the south of the Yangtze River with its long history,exquisite environment and better preservation.The exquisite scenery of Lili is inextricably linked with its historical architecture,especially the various street architectures,multi-entry buildings and landscape architectures.The historical architectures in the ancient town has retained its original features due to its lack of development,reflecting the liveliness and continuity of history with great research value.With the rapid development of the city,the tourism development projects of the ancient town are well under way.Faced with the contradiction between protection and development,some historical buildings of Lili have been destroyed to some extent.Fortunately,the issues of protection and renewal of ancient towns have been paid more and more attention.Historic buildings,as the main body and essence of ancient towns,are not only related to the rejuvenation of ancient town vitality and the continuation of historical culture,but also the city's preservation and renewal design.They ensure the sustainable development of a city.This thesis conducts a basic research on the historic buildings of the ancient town Lili,summarizing the characteristics and values of the historic buildings,through the collection and collation of basic data and on-site investigations.Based on an in-depth analysis of the problems in the preservation and renewal of historic buildings in ancient towns,this thesis combines historical buildings with the relevant regulations and ideological principles in the protection and renewal of the design to explore the measures for the protection and renewal of Lili.Finally,the feasibility of the design is verified by the concrete cases.It is hoped that the practical references and suggestions for the protection and renewal of historical buildings can be provided for Lili and other ancient water towns in the south of the Yangtze River.
