Gear transmission system is widely used in the transmission of transportation and industrial production equipment,and gear as the core part of transmission system,its vibration state will directly affect the working state of the system.As the structure of the transmission equipment becomes more and more complex,the possibility of the gear vibration signal being disturbed and attenuated will increase when the signals transfer outward.This may cause that weak gear vibration signals cannot be picked up on the surface of the equipment.In this case,it will be more difficult to analyze the vibration and state of the gear by picking up the surface vibration of the equipment.The meshing vibration of the gear occurs in the direction of the meshing line along the tooth profile,and the most direct result of the meshing excitation of the gear tooth is the torsional vibration of the gear.Therefore,the vibration and working state of the gear can be analyzed according to the torsional vibration signal.And the test of the torsional vibration of the gear is less affected by the transmission path which is beneficial to the extraction of the weak gear vibration signals.So this article puts forward a method to test the torsional vibration of the gear vibration based on measuring angular acceleration,and use it to judge the state of the gear.The specific contents of the work are as follows:The vibration response mechanism of gears is analyzed.Then the relationship between the gear angular acceleration and the gear meshing vibration based on the torsional vibration model of the gear is analyzed.The analysis results show that the change of the angular acceleration of the gear is closely related to the change of the load of the gear meshing tooth surface.It is feasible to judge the vibration state of the gear by analyzing the angular acceleration.Then,the measurement scheme of gear vibration based on angular acceleration is designed,and a gear transmission simulation model is established in ADAMS software to reveal the relationship between gear meshing vibration and angular acceleration of gears and gear shafts.The results verify the feasibility of the gear vibration testing method in this paper.After analyzing the principle of angular acceleration measurement,an angular acceleration measurement method based on tangential acceleration is used in this paper.And based on this design,an angular acceleration testing system is built.After that,an experiment is designed to verify the validity of the testing system.A gear vibration test experiment is designed.A gear vibration test bench is set up,and the tooth face collision failure is physically simulated which causes the gear to generate weak vibrations during operation.During the test,the angular acceleration sensor is placed on the external axis of the gearbox to measure the angular acceleration of the gear.At the same time,the gear vibration signal is picked up on the gear box.The final test results show that the angular acceleration on the gear shaft can directly reflect the vibration of the gear,and compared with the vibration signal of the box,angular acceleration is more sensitive to the weak abnormal vibration of gears.The angular acceleration signals obtained under steady and variable speed conditions are analyzed respectively,and compared with the analysis results of box vibration signals.The results show that the abnormal vibration characteristics of gears are more obvious based on angular acceleration signals,and the noise component in the signals is very small,so it is easier to judge the change of gear state by using angular acceleration;in the analysis of gear vibration with angular acceleration,the traditional analysis methods such as time domain analysis,frequency domain analysis and order analysis can be used to obtain accurate analysis results.It is easy to operate and is suitable to be popularized in engineering.
