With the development of China's economy and the increase of citizen income,China's civil aviation industry has developed rapidly,however,this has also increased competition among airlines.In addition,the rapid development of high-speed rail has also caused a great impact on airlines.China's airlines are facing to the opportunities and challenges at the same time.Airlines need to optimize the operation model continuously,reduce operating costs and enhance competitiveness in such a complex market environment in order to maintain long-term growth.Aviation spare part as the material for aircraft maintenance,is not only the key issue for the daily flight,but also one of the main costs of the airlines.Spare parts inventory management carries the two major functions of flight guarantee and operation cost optimization,which is one of the main constitution of the airline's operating cost.As an important part of airline operation system,spare parts inventory management should also be adjusted with airlines development to match the development strategy of airlines.This paper has carried on the thorough research to the problems for S airlines' spare parts inventory management,including the low availability of spare parts,the high inventory costs,etc.By investigation and analysis,the paper found the four maj or problems and their reason,which are the low efficiency of spare parts logistic process,the defects of the organization,insufficient professional staffing and the lack of scientific inventory planning evaluation.Based on theoretical tools such as process management and inventory management,this paper analyzes and designs the optimization plan including the spare parts logistic process improvement,organization and staffing adjustment,optimizing inventory planning evaluation model,and in accordance with the preparation,planning,operation and improvement of the four stages of implementation.The optimization effect is predicted by measuring the change of the key indicators such as the turnaround time and the inventory costs before and after the implementation of the plan.In summary,this paper provides a viable option for the optimization of S airlines'spare parts inventory management and it also provide reference to the other airlines...
