On An Architecture Design Method Of Tree-ing

The whole complex that buildings interfered with trees is a significant extension compared to architecture alone due to its dual effect on space and environment.On that basis,the study of its method becomes a special pointcut to architecture design method as well as landscape design method.In the context of modern China,researches of this problem are specially demanded.Therefore,this thesis studies the integration of trees and buildings.A number of cases were studied based on the methodology of space composition,taking space and environment as two main factors of consideration,and specially focusing on different ways to get into design respectively from buildings,trees,and the whole of both,so as to explore a design method that interfering buildings with trees.The articulation of the joints between trees and buildings with structure and construction,and its interaction with architecture design were discussed additionally.Furthermore,the boundary of this method was expanded in the research on Chinese Gardening.The method was examined in two architecture practices.In summary,this thesis was divided into four parts according to the domain concerned,namely,design methods,construction methods,methods in gardens,and methods certified by practice.A design approach of "intermedium" was attempted to be clarified in the four parts in this thesis,which is,to promote a transition from the original object or relationship through the operation of the "intermedium".The discussion of landscape paintings of GONG Xian revealed profound potential of this method.
