After 2008,China's equipment manufacturing industry experienced a period of rapid development.Casting as an important part of equipment manufacturing,its demand is increasing.Due to the demand-oriented role,the number of foundry companies has increased sharply,and the production of castings is also increasing.As a result,the competitive environment of foundry companies has been exacerbated and profits have been declining all the way.As a company that mainly manufactures marine diesel engine castings,ZB Diesel Engine Foundry Co.,Ltd.is faced with downward pressure in terms of competitiveness,decline in sales,and declining profits in the sluggish industrial environment.Under the background of corporate relocation and transformation,enterprises urgently need to determine a competitive strategy that is in line with the company's long-term interests,to help enterprises improve product competitiveness,change the current status of passive,and ultimately achieve a smooth transition.This thesis is based on the real problems faced by ZB diesel engine foundry companies.Through literature research methods,comparative research methods,qualitative and quantitative methods,investigation and research method etc.,the company's internal and external environment are analyzed in detail,and scientific analysis tools are used to help companies determine.First of all,this article introduces the background and significance of the research,and analyzes the necessity of the company's choice of competitive strategy,and determines the ideas and methods for the study.Secondly,this paper analyzes the current competitive strategy of enterprises,and uses PEST,Five Forces model,SWOT model and other analytical tools to study the current internal and external environment of the company.Through the analysis of the compan's strengths andweaknesses,it helps the company developed qualitatively an alternative competitive strategy.Again,this paper uses IFE matrix,EFE matrix,QSPM matrix and other quantitative analysis tools to match the candidate's competition strategy with the key factors of the internal and external environment,and sorted out the alternative strategy by the score level,and determined the company's best competitive strategy is the cost leadership strategy.Finally,in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the competitive strategy,this paper proposes five major measures for the implementation of the competitive strategy of the ZB diesel engine casting company,and provides four risk management recommendations.This thesis hopes to help enterprises formulate appropriate competitive strategies by using scientific analysis tools and provide suggestions and references for the strategic transformation of enterprises.It is also hoped that under the guidance of the competition strategy,help the company to get out of the current predicament and realize the leap-forward development of the company.
