Gravity dam has been highly recognized in the water conservancy industry worldwide,due to its clear structure,relatively low accident rate and suitable terrain,and it is the most common type of dam in the construction of water resources in China.In order to ensure the safe operation of the project and ensure the safety of life and property of the state and the people,more and more attention has been paid to the stability against sliding of the dam.The deep anti sliding stability of gravity dam is a common engineering problem in hydraulic construction.The traditional calculation method is poor in adaptability.It can not give the change of stress distribution and displacement of the dam foundation and dam,and the geological conditions in the base of the dam are complex,and many assumptions may be adopted in calculation,so some control factors may be ignored.Therefore,some control factors may be ignored.So it is unable to meet the needs of practical engineering,with the development of computer technology,the finite element method is used to calculate and analyze the deep stability of gravity dam,which has become a new and effective method.The paper summarizes the research status of the deep anti sliding stability analysis of gravity dams at home and abroad on the basis of the predecessors' research,introduces the common methods and basic principles of the deep anti sliding stability analysis of gravity dams at present,and points out the advantages and limitations of various methods,and emphasizes the development and application of the finite element method..Based on the engineering example of dam foundation with dam foundation containing soft intercalation,the calculation and analysis of anti sliding stability are carried out by the finite element analysis software ANSYS,and the guiding conclusions of practical significance for the project are obtained.With the project of Datankou reservoir,the finite element model of gravity dam is constructed by ANSYS software,and the load is applied to the gravity dam,and the finite element calculation is carried out.The stress,displacement and anti sliding stability of the gravity dam under the combined load are systematically studied.The results show that the finite element method is used to resist the deep stability of the gravity dam.It is feasible to carry out the analysis.At the same time,it shows that the dam of the Datankou reservoir,which has been put into use at the present time,has enough safety,and the deep stability of the dam foundation is guaranteed,which is in line with the actual operation of the dam.This paper,based on the actual project,combines the finite element method and the traditional calculation method to make the analysis result more reasonable and perfect.It provides the research basis for the anti sliding stability analysis similar to the dam foundation conditions in the future,and has the practical guid ing significance.
