Xilongchi pumped-storage hydroplant was located at the upstream of the cross area between the Hutuo River and Qingshui River. It consists of Xilongchi upper reservoir, high-pressure pipeline, underground workshop, tail-water tunnel, Xihe country downstream reservoir and inverted pumping station. Among these structures, Xihe country downstream reservoir is bank-run artificial reservoir, which was made up of major dam, auxiliary dam and reservoir shore-boarding.Auxiliary dam's bidirectional concrete retainning wall was located at the exit of Luzi dyke. Luzi dyke is a comber with dislocation among it. Because of the dislocation, efflorescence is serious on the eastside of the reservoir region. The dyke may have two-sides slipping under the water pressure due to the difference of the regular gravity dam. Therefore it's important to analyze the stability of the dam.The main work of this dissertation includes:1. Based on the conventional rigid limited-equilibrium method, an imitated three-dimensional method was developed in the dissertation for the anti-silding stability analysis of the structures with anomalous spatial shape. By dividing the auxiliary dam into n pieces of sheet along the top's axes depending on the gradient of the base of the dam and each sheet into m portions along the vertical direction of axes, the slope stability coefficient of each sheet Kn was calculated with transfer coefficient method. Then right coefficient for each sheetλn was determined according to its mass. At last, the coefficient of anti-sliding stability of the dam K was determined.2. The non-linear FEM was used to analyze the stability of the dam. As a new method, non-linear FEM is able to consider the elastic-plasticity,creep and untensional of the embankment and the rock, but it's difficult in the determination of the mechanical parameters of the rock and the constitutation of the calculation models. Up to now, the non-linear FEM is only an attempt method. By selecting a typical sheet, a non-linear FEM analysis was carried out following the discussion on the principle of the method, element selecting, parameter deciding, etc. The results obtained with different methods were compared.Because of the complexity of the structure shape of the dam, it's difficult to decide the anti-sliding stability of the dam with conventional rigid limited-equilibrium method. The method developed in this dissertation can considere the stability of both each sheet and the total dam at the same time. With this method, the relationship between the individual and collectivity was taken into consideration while analyzing the stability of complicated structures. By the way, the results of the dissertation were accepted by the project design.
