Research On The Evaluation And Optimization Of City Center System In Weifang

With the rapid development of the tertiary industry,there have been phenomena of industrial restructuring and spatial dislocation development in the city.A new type of space structure formed by multiple centers has emerged and an urban central system has emerged.As an overall system composed of multiple city centers,the city center system gathers various types of urban service facilities,hosts a large number of urban service industries,and attracts a large number of urban populations.It is the skeleton that supports urban development.In the late 1980 s,multi-central cities began to appear in some foreign cities.European and American scholars began to study the formation and development of polycentric cities since the early 1990 s.The early research on the urban center system in China focused on the interpretation and definition of the distribution and agglomeration characteristics of the two types of factors: population and employment in urban space.Mostly qualitative description.In recent years,the domestic urban center system has been increasingly researched,and the research methods have gradually shifted from qualitative to quantitative or parametric models.However,the research areas are mostly concentrated in large cities and have not yet formed a systematic research system.Based on the existing researches,this paper takes Weifang downtown as an example to study the status quo and optimization strategies of urban center system.The purpose is to improve the theoretical framework for the study of the urban center system and provide reference for the healthy development of the downtown area of Weifang.This paper firstly identifies the city center system of Weifang City in a qualitative and quantitative way.Quantitative analysis includes nuclear density analysis of urban public service facilities,urban road integration degree analysis,urban population distribution and analysis of urban buildingdensity distribution.Qualitative analysis includes analysis of psychological identity of urban residents and professionals in the Planning Bureau.Secondly,this article mainly evaluates the development of urban center system from four aspects: functional structure,hierarchical structure,spatial structure and historical continuity.Finally,using GeoSOS to predict the expansion of the 2025 site in downtown Weifang.Contrast the change of land use in downtown area of Weifang in 2005 and 2025,combine the problems and insufficiencies in the status quo of the urban center system,and refer to the residents’ suggestions for the development of the urban center system.The research results show that the current development situation of Weifang City Center System is as follows:As for the hierarchical structure of the urban center system,the phenomenon of the main center is monotonous,and the development of the subordinate center is lagging behind.As for the functional structure of the urban center system,Weifang City’s urban center system has a relatively single functional type,lacking a professional center with a certain scale.As for the historical continuity of the urban center system,the city center system of Weifang basically follows the development law of the urban center system.At present,it is at a stage of development where there is more than one person,and there is a big gap between the more mature “multi-center” structure.Its spatial structure has undergone a course of development from single-nuclear to nuclear,and it is now showing a tendency to develop into a larger circle.As for the spatial structure of the urban center system,some sub-centres provide limited service to residents,the degree of multi-centralization of commercial and financial functions is relatively low,the degree of multi-centeredness of educational and scientific research functions is relatively high,and the degree of multi-centeredness of administrative functions is the highest.At the end of this paper,aiming at the current status of the urban center system,refer to the residents’ desire to develop the urban center system and the development of the urban center system,and propose the optimization strategy of the urban center system.Relying on the Western Olympic Sports Park in downtown Weifang and the financial plaza in the eastern high-tech zone,the development of a sports cultural center and financial business center.Improve the core structure of the urban center system and expand the service scope of the city center system.In addition,the status quo structure of urban centers in the currentstatus of the integration of urban centers in the actual situation,given the corresponding development proposals.
