Self-piercing riveting process as one of the main connection method of car body,it can realize multi-layer overlapping or dissimilar material,the whole process is a cold connection process,no heat deformation,and because of its stability,make it become an important method for white body connection,this paper uses simulation and experimental analysis influence of process parameters on the self-piercing riveting quality,and mechanical properties of the coating were analyzed.This paper firstly introduces the origin and significance of the research topic is based on the actual projects Made in China 2025,research experimental platform based on advanced and simple introduction to the SPR technology origin and development,and analyzes the research on self-piercing riveting process at home and abroad.Secondly,the aluminum alloy has been widely applied in the white car body due to its own characteristics instead of traditional steel,which is widely applied in BIW.Then,the forming mechanism of self-piercing riveting process is introduced,and other common connection processes are simply explained.Then the related theory research and elaboration of self-piercing riveting process are introduced,and the finite element theory of cumulative damage and failure of materials is introduced,which is to understand the self-piercing riveting process more thoroughly,and the forming process is simulated by ABAQUS software to understand the forming process.Then through the simulation design of the influence degree of orthogonal experiment,the length of riveting diameter and riveting die depth of these 3 parameters on the quality of joints,the orthogonal range analysis results were obtained.The influence of process parameters on the quality of joints,and then take the argument in the next test and other factors of multilayer effects are investigated.Finally,the influence of gluing on the mechanical properties of self-piercing riveting joints is studied.Through comparative analysis,it can guide the production site to quickly select the appropriate nail die,improve the actual production efficiency,reduce production costs,and is of great practical significance for field guidance.
