Product quality reflects a country’s productivity, science and technology and the levelof economic development. Especially as a manufacturing power, exporter, the productquality directly affected our country’s comprehensive national strength. Quality is also thelife of the enterprise, and the key to win the competition. Constantly improving productquality is the relentless pursuit of the enterprise. As an important part of product quality,process quality have a decisive influence on the quality of the product. And processoptimization is effective means to improve the quality of process. Previous processoptimization methods usually are based on the perspective of the process itself, and processoptimization method based on process quality is seldom. This leads to the processoptimization efficiency low, and product quality improving slowly.This paper proposed a new process optimization technique based on process qualityinformation, by combining working procedure quality control and process optimization. Theresearch uses quality analysis tools to find the problems existing in the process and thespecific reason for the problem, and then targets the content need to be optimized of theproduct process by the reasonable utilization of the quality analysis results. Though this newmethod, quality problem is found in time, and timely solved. And process optimization suitsthe remedy to the case. the way of process optimization is changed, too. Finally, the qualityof the product is improved. At the same time, process optimization results are collected tobuild a process knowledge base. The knowledge is used to save the experience of theprocess improvement, give advises to the subsequent process design and processoptimization, and make the product processing technology improve continually. Specificresearch contents and research results are as follows:(1)for process optimization, properquality management system was established, the new quality information analysis methodwas put forward. This paper uses the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) to go on the keyquality characteristic decomposition. This way can find the key quality characteristics whichhave a major impact on the quality of product. By focusing on this parts of key qualitycharacteristics, the scope of process quality management become narrow, and the analysisefficiency is enhanced. The next step is to collect information about the quality of the keyquality characteristics, analyze the effectiveness, sort the scientific and effective data in thequality system. This paper puts forward two new quality information analysis methods toanalyze the working procedure quality, find hidden dangers and the process conditions which need to be optimized. Among them, the process stability analysis and the proposedlongitudinal process capability analysis are used to find abnormal process and determinewhether a process needs to be improved; the orthogonal analysis and the proposedtransverse process quality analysis are used for further analysis for the abnormal process.The further analysis can find the reasons for abnormal and the process conditions need to beoptimized.(2)According to the optimization goal and the direction of the optimization providedby the process quality analysis, the paper optimizes the process. For machine tooloptimization process optimization content too much, in a wide range of experiments andproblems, put forward by using orthogonal test to select the appropriate combination ofmachine tools, cutting tools and cutting parameters. Due to the optimization content inmachine tool optimization is too much, and test number are so many, orthogonal test is usedto select the appropriate machine tools, cutting tools and cutting parameters. In cuttingparameter optimization, the optimization mathematical model is established. Themathematical model contains the constraint conditions provided by quality analysis toensure the effectiveness of the optimization results. For the cutting parameter optimizationmodel, the genetic algorithm is improved to improve the efficiency and accuracy of therandom search.(3)One process knowledge base is established based on the process qualityinformation analysis and process optimization. The paper studies how to extract and expressthe process knowledge in the process quality information analysis and process optimizationresults. The paper studies how to reuse the process knowledge in the knowledge base, putforward a virtuous cycle of process improvement by evaluating the new technology basedon the process knowledge.(4)The process optimization technique based on the process quality information isapplied to develop a prototype system. According to the characteristics of the processoptimization technology based on process quality and the technical requirements of aMarine diesel engine manufacturing enterprises, the paper carries on the systemrequirements analysis, and the system function structure design and the system schemedesign. After the Analysis of the logic structure of database, the database of the system andthe prototype system are developed. The prototype system verified the feasibility of processoptimization technique based on process quality information.
