In the production life,ball valve is a necessary part with widtante application,heavy demand,occupying an important position in national economy.And the assembly is the post procedure of ball valve production,with an important position in the production of ball valve.At present,valve manufacturers are producing ball valves,due to their various parts and complicated shapes,they still use intensive manual assembly.This method is greatly influenced by the subjective factors of workers,which restricts the quality and efficiency of valve assembly.It has been unable to meet the development requirements of modern manufacturing automation,and the automatic assembly production line of foreign ball valves has been very advanced.Therefore,developing ball valve automatic assembly equipment to replace foreign equipment import and realize technological innovation has a very positive practical significance.This article aims at the malpractice of ball valve assembly in China,such as many labor workers,large labor intensity,low assembly efficiency and large area of assembly floor,by analyzing the respective characteristics of the ball valve assembly line at home and abroad.Based on the advanced assembly line theory and the basic assembly process of domestic ball valves,a design of 8 station symmetrical distribution rotary assembly production equipment for DN15 mm ball valves is designed according to the process flow.This project comes from the actual needs of the enterprise,and completes the design of the mechanical structure of the assembly equipment,meeting the requirements of positioning,clamping and assembling actions.The static analysis is carried out by the finite element analysis software to verify the rationality of the structural design.And the design of the assembly equipment control system is completed and the corresponding assembly test is carried out.The ball valve assembly equipment developed in this project adopts modern control technology,computer communication technology and CAD/CAE design technology.It is composed of the core PLC,the man-machine interface,the mechanical drive and the actuating mechanism of the control system.It has the functions of automatic assembly,automatic detection,automatic monitoring and so on.The whole equipment has the characteristics of compact structure,convenient operation,good human-computer interaction,low labor intensity,high assembly efficiency and good stability.It can completely replace the traditional way of manual assembly of ball valves,suitable for the promotion of the valve industry.
