The railway engineering vehicle,as important maintenance equipment for the high-speed,heavy load railways and urban rail transit,the performance of brake system directly influences running safety and operating security.With the rapidly development of high-speed railway lines in China west area,the lines with long ramp gradually increase,the traditional combination of air brake system and tread brake device of railway engineering vehicle meets bottleneck in practice,which can not solve the problems that,when the vehicle continuously brakes on railway line with long ramp,the heating load causes the crack and chunking of brake shoe,so it is urgent to design a brake system which meets the operation condition of long ramp.On the background of 45.05 km railway line with 25‰ gradient of the newly opened Xi'an to Chengdu G-series high-speed railway line,the paper took the brake system of railway vehicle with electric transmission applied for the operation condition of lines with long ramp as a main research object,deeply analyzed and researched the brake system of railway engineering vehicle(service weight: 60t)with electric transmission.New type electric pneumatic brake was developed,what's more,by the theoretical analysis and calculation,put forward the solution that overall optimization combination of electric pneumatic brake,wheel-mounted disc brake device and rheostatic brake device,which can achieve the interchange of between electric pneumatic brake and rheostatic brake device,also can mutually combined utilization.After the theoretical calculation and test verification,all meet the actual operation condition of long ramp.The mainly researched contents see followings:(1)Based on the operation condition of long ramp and the relevant requirements of vehicle actual application provided by Xi'an Railway Bureau,confirmed the target requirement of brake system.(2)By theoretical analysis,researched and designed the brake type configured the vehicle which achieved the target requirement,finally the new type electro-pneumatic brake has been researched,compared with currently common brake,the new researched brake has such innovation:(1)Electric brake and air brake coexist;(2)Achieve the simple communication of brake system and traction system;(3)When the driver brake controller finds faults,by transiting fault running mode,the independent brake valve can keep the train running in faults and improve reliability of brake system.(3)Based on the actual operation condition of railway engineering vehicle applied on long ramp section of Xi'an to Chengdu G-series high-speed railway line,by the simulating calculation of heating load of wheel-mounted disc brake device under different working conditions to analyze the practicability of this plan.(4)Based on the actual operation condition of railway engineering vehicle applied on long ramp section of Xi'an to Chengdu G-series high-speed railway line,by the reasonable matching & calculation to confirm the configuration parameters of rheostatic brake device and analyze its continuous brake possibility under different working conditions.(5)Aim at above modified points and innovation items,after finished manufacture,banded with Xi'an Railway Bureau to conduct test and acceptance.By the theoretical analysis & calculation and test verification,this paper presented the arrangement scheme of brake system in the railway engineering vehicle which is suitable for the working condition of long ramp and solved problems that large heating load caused the crack and chunking of brake shoe when the vehicle applied in long ramp section of Xi'an to Chengdu G-series high-speed railway line,which laid good foundation for further research of brake system field.The comprehensive research of the design,calculation,analysis and test acceptance of brake system of rail vehicle with electric transmission applied for long ramp provide importance guidance for brake system of other vehicles with electric drive applied in operation condition of long ramp.
