With the popularization of machine and the emancipation of social consciousness,women's status has been promoted,and they begin to pursue the realization of self worth,so more design needs are created.What's more,because of the particularity of the social role,women occupy a dominant position in social consumption activities,market potential being limitless.Besides,in the fierce market competition,the selection of population with some characteristic and the design with a definite target can give the user more careful care and let the enterprise make great progress.Design for women is not only embodiment of humanization,but also a strategy that accords with the development trend of market.First of all,paper discusses the physiological and psychological differences between men and women from two aspects of natural sex and social gender,and focuses on the analysis of women's characteristic about aesthetic psychology and consumption behavior.Secondly,combining with specific cases of household product,paper analyzes the gender tendency and the surface elements that produce this tendency,and describes the vague psychological feeling of feminization tendency more concretely by semantic differential gauge.Thirdly,from the perspective of female consumers and designers,paper analyzes the women's preference to household product via semantic differential gauge,and concludes the steps to household product design for women via perceptual vocabulary classification.Finally,taking above results as reference,paper carries out some design practice.This paper,based on gender difference,using various methods flexibly,focuses on the characteristics and preference of the female group.It is not only the deepening and refinement of the theory of gender differentiation,but also the concrete presentation of the humanized design.At the same time,it can provide new ideas for designers and enterprises to develop new direction of creation.
