Landscape Design Of Urban Main Entrance Road

Nowadays,great strength is being taken to build ecological garden city and garden town,in view of which the construction program of a beautiful country is gradually being achieved,hence accordingly the landscape construction of urban entrance road is increasingly valued,the related research on road landscape planning and design philosophy is gradually deepened as well.The road landscape of city entrance area plays an important role of showing the urban image and setting an overall framework of city,which directly and indirectly affect the urban landscape quality,ecological environment and economic development.However,there are lacks of relevant researches on landscape design of urban entrance road,what’s more,the construction of related fields fails to catch enough attention.Therefore,problems of impact on the ecological environment,simplification landscape and promiscuity environment occur.This thesis,in the first place,through methods of theoretical research,case study and field research,combined with researching the related multidisciplinary theory,makes a definition on the concept of the urban main entrance road and an induction on representative research philosophy of road landscape as well as related cases.What’s more,this thesis makes an analysis on landscape characteristics of urban main entrance road planning,in addition,combing emphatically three elements of landscape design which are natural,artificial and social.This thesis,in the second place,through an in-depth analysis on design features and referential value of five excellent domestic and foreign cases,come to a conclusion that there are five design principles by which should be abided when refers to landscape planning on urban main entrance road containing emphasizing sustainable development,highlighting regional features,showing care for people,ensuring the safety of driving and visitors,valuing interactivity and participation,as a consequence,drawing a set of design method which is from the preliminary analysis to the later road design.Last but not the least,the author,by means of putting forward design proposal for landscape project on urban main entrance road of WuNing county,verifies the above summarized design principles and planning methods,which could also provide some references for landscape design and practice on urban main entrance roads in the future.
