This paper are based on the characteristics and requirements of fugi tive emission and recovery of UO2 powder during the manufacturing process of nuclear fuel components.A highly efficient compound separation device w as designed to recycle the UO2 powder on the basis of CFD optimization.And through numerical simulation research to provide theoretical and data support for the performance of the compound separator.The specific research content is as follows:Numerical study on the flow field in the cyclone separator with helical-roof single Inlet and helical-roof double inlet with different inlet rotation angles?90°,120°,150°and 180°?by using unsteady RSM model and explore the influence of different inlet rotation angles on helical-roof double inlet cyclone separator.Computational fluid dynamics?CFD?techniques and response surface methodology are used to optimize the pressure drop and cut-off size of the cyclone separator.Based on response surface methodology and using the statistical software,the prediction models of the pressure drop and the separation efficiency for cyclone separator and analyze the major,minor and non-influence factors affecting the performance of the cyclone separator.The results showed that,the optimal design reduces the Euler number and cut-off size by 58% and 41%,respectively,compared to the reference model.Two kinds of compound separators with different parallel arrangement methods are designed.The numerical simulation method was used to conduct a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the gas flow field in the inletchamber,the dust collection chamber,and the ash hopper of the compound separator.Discussed the effect of parallel arrangement schemes on the uniformity of the single tube separator and pressure drop,separator performance,dust collection chamber,the ash hopper flow field of compound separator.The movement regular of particles in compound separator recovery device was given and analyze the direct reason for the occurrence of “cross talk”.
