Research On Suburban Countryside Planning Strategies Under The Guidance Of Low-Impact Development In Southern Jiangsu

The accelerating urbanization process has prompted some cities to encroach on the surrounding farmland,water and other traditional spaces for construction purposes to achieve rapid development.The land of suburban countryside in southern Jiangsu,which is deeply affected by the city,has been constantly eaten.Also the rural ecological security pattern is disturbed and the natural habitat are being damaged.Accordingly,the degree of the hard underlying surface is increasing,and the rainwater runoff is increasing rapidly.The problems of ecological environment and social security caused by rain-flood are becoming increasingly prominent.This article takes the application of the low-impact development in the planning of the suburban countryside in southern Jiangsu as the breakthrough point,and starts with the specific rural planning strategies.Also it further analyzes the unique environmental characteristics and the main dilemma of the suburban countryside planning in southern Jiangsu.Then on the basis of the primary analysis,the article puts forward the systematic architecture,reproduce the complete process of rainwater runoff,and restore the function of the suburban countryside natural ecosystem,to promote the sustainable development of rural society,ecology and economy.The main content of this article can be divided into five parts.(1)After analyzing the problems of rural rain-flood caused by rapid urbanization at the present stage and the background of the rise of the concept of low-impact development,the theoretical research and related practice of low-impact development and rural planning at home and abroad are described in this article.The scope and object of the study are defined as suburban countryside in southern Jiangsu where is full of contradictions and urgent to be solved.The scope and object of the study are defined as suburban countryside in southern Jiangsu,which illustrate the purpose and significance of the research,and determine the main contents,basic methods and technical routes of the study.Then the article demonstrates the purpose and significance,and determines the main content,basic methods and technical routes.(2)The basic concept of low-impact development is expounded in this part.Also it compares low-impact development with the traditional ones and other management ideas of rain-flood.Then it summarizes the three characteristics of low-impact development,namely source control,high resilience and low cost,and it also introduces the non-structural and structural facilities of the low-impact development.(3)After analyzing the special geographical location,basic survey of hydrology,soil,plant and so on,and complex,sensitive and adjustable ecological characteristics,this part summarizes the main difficulties,and further puts forward the necessity and feasibility of the low-impact development in suburban countryside planning in Southern Jiangsu.(4)This part analyzes the principles and objectives of the low-impact development in suburban countryside,and puts forward a set of processes.Then on the basis of the primary systematic analysis,such as basic survey,ecological sensitivity and underlying surface,this part constructs a low-impact development system and the ecological security pattern of suburban countryside planning in southern Jiangsu.Further it describes the low-impact planning and design under different control elements(village,road,green space landscape,water shoreline and other elements),then takes measures including controlling land property,establishing dynamic stormwater system for emergency and adding monitoring platform of sponge performance in rural areas,finally,carries on the assessment of rainwater planning benefits,which includes two aspects of the comprehensive and single index.(5)This part selects a small village,Lixing Village,of Suzhou Wujiang District as a typical case,in order to give a feedback on the research of suburban countryside planning strategies under the concept of low-impact development,further deepen the planning strategies,and make use of the data to verify the rationality and feasibility of the scheme.Finally,it makes the main research conclusions and innovation points,and puts forward the shortcomings and prospects at the same time.
