Mixed traffic is an important part of urban road traffic.Mixed traffic research helps to properly understand the complexity and operation rules of traffic flow,and to analyze the occurrence of various traffic phenomena in depth.It provides a theoretical basis for the planning of urban traffic systems.Meanwhile,mixed traffic simulation can realistically reconstruct the interactions of pedestrians,motor vehicles and non-motorized vehicles in urban traffic and meet the needs of building a more realistic virtual urban environment in applications such as movie,games,and animation.Based on the social force model and the behavioral characteristics of various road users in mixed traffic,we propose a novel microscopic method for mixed traffic simulation,which models the behavior of pedestrians,vehicles and bicycles under a unified framework.Furthermore,we present a novel method to simulate the interactions between pedestrians,motor vehicles and bicycles by taking a decision-making process and a feedback mechanism.Our approach can generate plausible results which are consistent with the different behavioral characteristics of various road users.
