The 21st century is an era of great development. With the acceleration of urbanization, traffic becomes more diverse and more convenient. The rapid development may lead to some secure issues when people constantly pursue the quality of life.Travel, has always been the main routine in daily life of everyone. With the increase of travel mode choices, the behaviors of traffic are also varied, which makes the emergence of mixed traffic become a major trend in the future, and this kind of discomfort, threats and accidents caused by mixed traffic will be the key safety issues in the transport field. Therefore,it is necessary to study and analyze traffic behavior and to simulate mixed traffic behavior. That would help and guide the planning, management, design, implementation and traffic safety of traffic intersections. At the same time, that might help improve the relevant theories for our country's junctions and help design more optimized and social force models adapted to solve the traffic simulation problems in China and provide relevant parameters for future study. This paper chooses the traffic scene with non-signal control intersections.Non-signal control intersection has been the focus of research in the field of traffic since it is complex and changeable which makes it a traffic accident prone area.It can be found that there are few reasonable solutions for non-signal control of intersection safety issues. Therefore,it is necessary to carry out traffic behavior and simulation studies on intersections with non-signal control. The main research work of this paper includes:Firstly, research and analyze the theory of mixed traffic behavior, and present the main research status and achievements at home and abroad. On the basis of this,a comparative analysis and summary of the research methods and common models of mixed traffic behavior in this special scenario of non-signal control intersections are given. The related theories are reviewed, including classic self-organization phenomenon, psychological characteristics of traffic participants, traffic conflict theory, theory and method of critical crossing clearance, visual obstacle field,two-dimensional optimal velocity model and so on.Secondly,a small UAV video is used to record a non-signal control intersection for many times in Fuzhou, including the peak period and the general time period. The actual raw data obtained are processed and analyzed and the traffic behaviors of the traffic participants are analyzed one by one.The mixed traffic behaviors are studied from the macro and micro perspectives. The actual traversing behavior and crossing mode selection of pedestrians and bicycles are analyzed. The critical crossing clearance value is obtained by using the average value method and the Raff method. And the verification is conducted to provide a theoretical reference value for the critical crossing clearance index without signal control intersections in our country.Density, flow, and speed distributions figures are used to analyze the mixed traffic behaviors. Finally, the basic principle of social force model and improved model are used to simulate and design the corresponding scene without signal control intersections, then analyze and compare the differences of simulations from the microscopic prospective. The theoretical guidance, goals and improvement for non-signal control intersections are proposed. In view of the inadequacy of existing research,a reasonable prospect of future research is proposed.
