Signal intersection is one of the most important components of urban ground transportation system.It plays an irreplaceable and comprehensive role in regulating traffic flow speed,affecting safety efficiency and alleviating urban congestion.At the same time,the signal intersection is also one of areas of urban traffic accidents happened frequently in China.Mainly because as a traffic flow adjustment hub,especially at rush hour,a large number of pedestrians,bicycles,electric bicycles and cars will converge at the signalized intersection for passing through.Which makes the mixed traffic flow participants becomes more complex,there are many potential conflicts with the possibility of occurrence.In particular,the presence of a large number of bicycles and electric vehicles has led to a obvious increase in the likelihood of a conflict or even an accident,this is one of the main causes of traffic congestion.Therefore,how to take measures to reduce the conflict to improve the safety efficiency,alleviate traffic congestion and improve traffic planning facilities have become one of the hot topic in the field of transportation research.Hence this paper make a simulation study on pedestrians and vehicles mixed conflict behavior at signalized intersection based on social force model.The main contents are the following three points:Firstly,this paper studies the theory of mixed traffic flow and traffic flow model,analyzes how to calculate the density,velocity and flow of mixed traffic flow,and analyzes pedestrian-vehicle conflict behavior by the change of density,velocity and flow rate.Secondly,this paper analyzes pedestrian-vehicle mixed conflict at signalized intersection.At first,the relevant indexes of the mixed collision behavior between pedestrians and vehicles at signalized intersection are analyzed.Then the types of several main pedestrian-vehicle mixed conflict were studied.Especially the type of conflict between pedestrians,bicycles,electric bicycles and turning vehicles.The data of studying pedestrian-vehicle mixed conflict was from collected videos which recorded behavior of pedestrians,bicycles,electric bicycles and cars at signalized intersection.In order to ensure the safety of the experiment and the authenticity and availability of traffic flow data acquisition,gathering video data of pedestrian-vehicle mixed traffic flow at Fuzhou University First Living Area signalized intersection through the unmanned aerial vehicle technology.Finally,the simulation research on the mixed conflict behavior at the signal intersection is carried out based on modified' social force model.The social force model was modified through headway-speed mechanism based on calibration and setting of the relevant parameters.Then the simulation of the mixed conflict between pedestrians,bicycles,electric bicycles and cars in different quantities was carried out.Through the comparison of the simulation model results and the experimental data,this paper put forward some suggestions on how to alleviate the mixed collision behavior at signalized intersection,and propose optimization measures to mitigate pedestrian-vehicle mixed conflict at signalized intersection through a specific case.
