Research Of University Square Spatial Perception Based On Quantitative Analysis And Humanize Principle

University Square,which has plaied the role of “living room” in the campus was closely linked with the daily activities of teachers and students in the college.The humanized design of the square was the important composition part of that influenced the quality of square.The quality of the university square directly affects campus life.In order to create a more humanized campus space,square spatial perception has become a research hotspot.In this paper,several different types of squares in new and old universities in Central China have selected.Firstly,based on the questionnaire survey of SD(Semantic Difference Method)field investigation and combined with the principle of humanization from People Place,we could get the psychological perception evaluation of the square,including comprehensive feeling visual perception and behavioral awareness and also the evaluation grade of humanized perception.Secondly,by using spatial perception this paper aimied to explore the target index and its impact range which have affected psychological perception evaluation,such as criticality value of square area elevation the value of the closed space and the greening rate.Finally,suggestions to improve the quality of the university square space have put forward by the qualitative conclusions of on-site behavior observation and the quantitative conclusions of objective indicators.
