Infilled frame is broadly utilized in the buildings.However,as is shown in many earthquake investigations,the traditional masonry infill walls are rigidly linked to the RC frames with limited ductile,which resulted into severe damage to the structures when encountering earthquakes and thus brought about mass motalily and economy loss.The out-of-plane failure is one the most common failures the infill walls during earthquakes,directly compromising the structures capacity to resist earthquake.In order to solve the aforementioned problems,this thesis puts forward the use of BFG to replace the horizontal bars in the mortar seams of the infill wall to form a BFG reinforcement.With the experiment of the out-of-plane capacity to resist earthquake,the viability of the BFG reinforced infill will with flexible connection is examined.Following is the major work of this thesis.(1)Research on the constitutive relation of the BFG.By using domestic strain fuage,imported KYOWA stran guage and strain extensometer,a series of experiments with controlled variables evaluate the credibility of the strain test,based on which the constitutive relation of the BFG is obtaoined.(2)The BFG's influence have on the bonding behavior of AAC masonry.Three major factors are considered inclucing the introduction of the BFG,the strength of BFG and the seam direction.There are 8 groups of specimens use to perform the splitting tensile tests.(3)The out-of-plane earthquake experiments of the BFG reinforced infill walls with flexible connections.BFG is employed to replace the horizontal rebars,based on which two kinds of hybrid flexible connections between the frame and infill wall are promoted: two alternate patterns of the combination of L shape connection and BFG connection.The out-of-plane earthquake experiments are carried out after the setup of RC frames,from which are obtained the following factors: the failure characteristics of infill wall,the strain of BFG,the strain of connections and the out-of-plane displacement distribution and the capacity of infill wall.(4)The comparison and analysis of experiment resultes.Based on the comparison of the cracks deccelopment,joint forces,the out-of-plane stiffness,the capacity and the anti-collapse performance of infill walls,the influence of BFG strength,connections and other factors have on the earthquake behavior of the BFG reinforced infill wall is analyzed.(5)The evaluation of seismic behavior of the infill wall with flexible.In this part,the seismic behavior of the infill wall with flexible connections is evaluated.The disadvantages and the advantages of flexible connections are discussed.And the simplification of the connections is partly introduced.
