With the continuous development and innovation of information technology and automation technology,in order to meet the demand for efficient control of energy saving and emission reduction in the electricity market,new automation technologies are emerging and applied to the operation and operation of power system.For the development of power plants and improve the competitiveness of enterprises refueling.As the control core of electric automation,power plant monitoring system(ECS)integrates many functions,such as operation control,system protection,data measurement,communication transmission,detection and control,and so on.Based on the analysis of power monitoring system in thermal power plant,the method of incorporating the ECS system into the DCS system was explored to improve the degree of automation of the power plant control technology.The principle and topological structure of ECS system are elaborated in this paper,and the development trend and application status of ECS system are summarized.The current ECS system is generally constructed by a layered distributed structure composed of a bay layer,a communication management layer,and a station control layer.Detailed analysis of the basic functions of each layer and their composition,while assessing the range of coverage and capabilities that can be achieved by ECS.Secondly,this paper summarizes the development process of ECS system access DCS system.At the same time its three access methods: hard wiring,"hard wiring + field bus" mode,complete fieldbus mode,three methods of connection are studied in depth.According to the function to be completed by the system,the communication protocol required for the ECS system to access the DCS system is set.Finally,combined with the DCS control system renovation project of Hohhot Thermal Power Plant,the actual application of the plant monitoring system was studied and the engineering evaluation was conducted.The system uses multiple pre-technology to pre-process large amounts of data,reducing server load,improving the server's ability to handle data flow,and greatly improving the system's response speed.The put into operation of this system has greatly improved the automation level of the electrical equipment in the venue,reduced the pressure of management,reduced the cost,and improved the work efficiency.Provides reasonable basis and scheme for integrating ECS system into DCS system for future construction.
