At present,ports in China are facing increasingly fierce competition.Rational division of the hinterland will help the port companies realize the accurate positioning of their markets and ports,determine the direction of their planning and development,and understand the advantages and disadvantages of competitions adjacent to their own ports.To achieve long-term strategic cooperation between ports and achieve regional win-win development.However,the current research on the issue of port hinterland delimitation has certain limitations,especially on the classification of hinterland of different cargoes and the estimation of the cost in the transportation process,which has obvious defects.In the study of the problem of the port hinterland division,this thesis aims to make the port more suitable for the actual situation,so that the port can set appropriate development goals according to the objective conditions of different types of goods in the area when choosing the seaport,and put forward two improvements:First,Considering that different types of cargo have different characteristics and transportation requirements,they have the specific problem of different attractiveness of the port to the various sources of goods in the hinterland;secondly,the risk of unexpected events that may be encountered in the transportation process,logistics time,etc.Other non-monetary factors and transportation costs are considered together.For this reason,this thesis combs and reviews the research status at home and abroad,elaborates the evaluation method of the port hinterland division problem and the influencing factors of the port hinterland,and selects the method according to the specific characteristics of the port hinterland division problem.According to the content of the disaggregation theory,the model is improved based on the nested Logit model and multiple Logit models,and a utility function is defined to quantify the general transportation cost from the aspects of transportation costs,logistics time,and transportation risk,etc.to Liaoning Province.For example,the choice of transport mode and export mode for the hinterland sources of steel and grain goods,and verification of the effectiveness of the improved model proposed here.The research in this thesis not only can provide the basis for the investment construction and long-term development of each port,but also can provide some reference for relevant decision-making departments.
