Study On Planning And Design Of Crossrail In London

Rail transit is an important infrastructure project,which is of great significance to the comprehensive transportation,economic and social development of the city.The East-West Crossrail line currently is under construction in London,and it is the largest infrastructure project in Europe.It is also one of the railway connection plans to promote the revival of London and maintain its international competitiveness.This article selects the Crossrail line as a research object and hopes to review the historical background of the Crossrail project through a comprehensive systematic study of the project.This paper attempts to analyze the planning decision process,and explore the impact of line on urban transportation,economic and social development in London.And it tries to summarize and evaluate the Crossrail line from multiple angles by analyzing the design strategies for line site construction and station space,so as to provide thoughts and lessons for China's rail transit construction and sustainable urban development.First of all,this paper reviews the emergence and development of London's national railway network and urban subway lines,analyzes the spatial pattern of London rail transit in the early 20th century,and elaborates on the background of the Crossrail line.Secondly,through the collection,examination and collation of project data,this paper rebuilds the process of the Crossrail plan,analyzes the planning and design strategies and influencing factors of the line,and introduces the implementation guarantee of the project plan.Thirdly,this paper studies the construction impact of the Crossrail Line on the the improvement of Integrated urban traffic in London.It analyzes that the line construction has the promotion effect on balanced development of the city and further accumulation of employment,has the promotion effect on the real estate market along the route,and has the supporting function in the way of "vertical growth" in London.Fourthly,this paper discusses the design strategy of Crossrail line site construction and station space.It takes Paddington Station and Tottenham Court Road Station as examples to analyze "Keyhole Surgery",design concept in the station building and the shaping of the interior space.Taking the Abbey Wood Station.Bond Street Station?Canary Wharf Station as examples,it explores the impact of station space design on the optimization of traffic in the surrounding area of the station.?the upgrading the quality of the public space,the promotion effect of the station space on commercial activities.At last,this paper makes summary and evaluation of the Crossrail project,analyzes its scientificity and advancement,and expounds the enlightenment of the route planning and construction process on China's rail transit and urban development.
