Since two-way curved arch bridge has been established in China, its unique advantages have been widely used in highway and municipal roads.During the operation of the bridge, there are different kinds and degrees of diseases in the two-way curved arch bridge. In the local road network planning and development, could the bridge do its best to continue to give full play to the role only when the index system of various aspects is understdood fully, and the specific bridge load-bearing capacity is clarified. This paper takes the multi-span two-way curved arch bridge-Yun Shui Bridge in Hubei Province Suizhou City as the research object,to assess the bridge scientifically and comprehensively,by the method of combining theoretical analysis calculation and field investigation and testing. The main work is as follows:First, the important indexes that affect the operation of two-way curved arch bridges are analyzed, then to be tested according to relevant specifications, and the technical conditions of the bridge is evaluated.Second, combined with related material status checking and evaluation results, the load-bearing capacity at the present stage is carried out by use of Midas Software and the effect of action and resistance are calculated and compared to judge the bearing capacity in bridge operation theorectically.Third, simulated calculation and loading test are performed according to the results of the test and calculation results, the bearing capacity of the bridge is analyzed.Fourth,on the basis of the current situation and results of the bridge assessment,it is suggested that the bridge should be strengthened or restricted, which will provide a strong basis for the planning and implementation of the local road network.
