The handling stability and ride comfort of vehicle are two indivisible performances and they are contradictory,which has brought great difficulty to optimal design of the vehicle's handling stability and ride comfort,and it is difficult to find a balance to balance the two performances of the vehicle.With the increasing demand for the overall performance of automobiles,it is bound to conduct collaborative research on the vehicle's handling stability and ride comfort.Only by fully considering the inherent linkages between the two performances,can we finally achieve reasonable optimization of the two major performances.In this paper,a passenger vehicle is studied.The collaborative optimization theory is introduced into the optimization of vehicle's handling stability and ride comfort.Combined the virtual prototype technology with the response surface approximation model,the simulation analysis of vehicle's handling stability and ride comfort is carried out.Finally,two major performance improvements were realized.In this subject,ADAMS/CAR is used as the modeling and simulation platform.Based on the detailed parameters of the vehicle and the motion constraints between the parts,the vehicle dynamics model is established.According to the related requirements of the national standard,the simulation analysis of vehicle's handling stability and ride comfort is carried out.And then,the objective evaluation formula of each performance is established and the corresponding scoring values are calculated.In this way,we can make a comprehensive evaluation on the two performances of the vehicle,and prepare for the collaborative optimization of the vehicle.The property parameter of the suspension is determined as the design variables.The box-behnken test design method was adopted to establish the second-order response surface model for the handling stability and ride comfort.Combining the theory of collaborative optimization with the response surface method,the mathematical model of this optimization is established.According to the data transmission route of collaborative optimization,the optimization model was built in ISIGHT.Finally,the performance of the car is compared,which is found that the vehicle's handling stability and ride comfort are improved.The application value of collaborative optimization in improving vehicle performance is proved.
