After the reform and opening up,China's rapid development of the urbanization and the general improvement of people's living standards,resulting in the historical residential area can not meet the needs of modern life in terms of their physical environment or the surrounding urban environment,In addition,the large-scale renewal strategy has caused great damage to the continuation of urban historical context.Therefore,it is imperative to explore an effective renewal design strategy that can accommodate both urban development and historical and cultural heritage.In the theoretical part of this thesis,it introduces the acupuncture strategy into the field of historical residential renewal.This thesis analyzes and demonstrates the necessity,effectiveness and feasibility of the acupuncture strategy for the renewal of historical residential areas,on the basis of combing the relevant theories of historical residential areas and acupuncture strategies."Indentified disorders" and "Treatment" are two important links in the application of acupuncture strategy.This thesis makes a detailed analysis of the present situation of the District of Chieftain Mansion from the aspects of function structure,space system,street and lane system,building carrier and so on.This thesis proposes a planning and design method suitable for operation in this area.In the planning and design section,with the analysis and summary of practical problems as the guide,the thesis carries out a targeted transformation of the "Treatment" in the area of Chieftain Mansion from the three levels of optimizing function,connecting space and activating key area.Through the activation of key nodes and regions,the main problems in the area are solved,and the linkage development of the area is stimulated and the comprehensive recovery of the area is realized.At the same time,the theoretical thinking is implemented one by one to the specific planning and design drawings,forming a complete and standardized design text.
