Since the reform and opening up,the process of urbanization in China has been accelerating, and the number of cars owned by urban residents has continued to climb. This has caused many problems for urban residents, such as declining air quality, unsmooth travel, and increasingly severe urban traffic congestion. As a result, the government and its competent authorities began to seek help for rail transportation with advantages such as high traffic volume, punctual operation, fast operation speed, high safety factor, and less external interference. In recent years, large and medium-sized cities in China have successively established rail transit construction;along with the implementation of the strategy of “Strengthening China through Traffic”,this momentum has become even more obvious, and urban rail transit is now moving toward a “networked” direction. The networked characteristics of rail transit make rail transit travelers have more choices in the travel process;this phenomenon makes the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of passenger flow in rail transit sections and the decision-making behavior of travelers' travel routes changed. This also brings difficulties to the day-to-day management of rail transit operations and management departments.Based on the above background, the decision-making mechanism of travelers and the distribution of cross-section traffic flow under the condition of “networking” of rail transit lines are carried out. This article starts from both theoretical and practical directions.Firstly,it focuses on the passenger flow characteristics of rail transit. It proposes a site OD acquisition method based on IC card swiping data of rail transit.Second,it begins with the actual investigation and analyzes the survey data.It has been found that rail transit travelers are more conscious about the “less number of transfers”,“less travel time” and “uncongested” routes during travel.Travelers are more sensitive to the total travel distance during travel.Combining the research results of theory and practice, this paper proposes an improved method for quantifying the number of transfers, and on this basis, proposes a generalized cost function for rail transit travelers considering the effect of transfer times. Finally, using the traditional Logit model as a prototype, combined with the generalized cost function that considers the number of transfer times,a logit distribution model for passenger flow allocation adapted to the rail transit network is constructed.Through the distribution of passenger flow in Wuhan rail transit, the model was verified and the validity of the model was proved.Through the research of assigning Logit model to the passenger flow of rail transit,on the one hand,it provides some suggestions for the operation of the rail transit operation and management department, and on the other hand,it provides a certain reference for planning workers and related government agencies.
