A Research Of The Space Organization And The Activities Of Temple Fair In Pingyao County

In the middle and late Qing Dynasty,Pingyao County's urban form tended to be stable,and citizen's activities were also enriched.The development of local commercial and financial industries has made the comprehensive temple fair which has passed on thousands of years continue to offer sacrificial function to the public,while it has more typical characteristics of urban functions such as entertainment,leisure and commodity trading.Various temples in the city produces different urban images in the spatial organization.Corresponding temple fairs thus formed their own characteristics.The different characteristics and developments of temple fair activities have in turn affected a series of spatial factors in the city,people who participate in temple fairs also changed their imagery awareness and activities in cities.This article is based on this perspective,focus on discuss the formation of different temple fairs and the spatial characteristics of the activities of the temple fair of Pingyao county from the Period of the Republic of China to the early period of liberation movement,and further analyze and explore the relationship between the temple fair and the structure of the county space.This article begins with the description of the changes in the spatial form of Pingyao county from the Ming and Qing dynasties and the spatial organization factors related to the temples in the city,explore the different spatial status and urban image formed by the different temples in the stable period of urban construction in the late Qing Dynasty,analysis it's impact on the formation of temple fairs.Secondly,take the formation and development of temple fairs as the starting point,analysis the causes of various temple fairs from it.examine and expand the possible distribution of temple fairs at the regional level in previous studies.In the end,through field investigation and inquiry,obtain the distribution of various spaces when the related temple fairs are held,analyze the inner logic of the spatial needs of different activities in the temple fair and the formation of urban space organization.then discuss the impact of county temple fair activities on the urban spatial organization factors and cognition of urban images.After the discussion of the above content,the resulting point of views are: 1.Under the evolution of the spatial form of the county,the temples formed different spatial images because of the differences in the organization of the surrounding space.Many temple fairs in the county town were produced in temples with more prominent spatial imagery,2.In the space of temple fair activities,different trading contents are formed in the front of the temple,the main street of the Temple City,and the open space around the city wall.The venue of the temple event shows the characteristics of take the temple building as the origin and the street where the temple building is as the main axis,extend to the city and expand outside the city.3.On the impact of the county temple fair activity,Temple fairs changed the image of temple space,and gradually reconstructed the temple cognition system.;At the same time,temple fairs meet the needs of various rights groups,affecting its activities,and thus promoting the exchange of different groups within the region,and ultimately have a positive effect on the formation and development of the relationship between urban and rural settlements.
