Modern vehicles have gradually evolved into an integration of mechanical structure,electricity and liquid,which increase the difficulty of troubleshooting for electronically controlled engines.The disadvantages of traditional fault diagnosis instrument is becoming more and more obvious.The signal wave-forms of various actuators and sensors in electronic control system can be analyzed by using an automobile special oscilloscope,which is able to find out the cause of the failure quickly and efficiently.And also it will improve the efficiency and quality of car maintenance,as well as meeting the requirements of modern automobile diagnosis.Therefore,waveform diagnosis is an important method of electronic control engine fault diagnosis,which has unique advantages and will become the main trend of the automotive maintenance industry in the future.This paper mainly has done the following aspects of the study:Firstly,researching on the development of fault diagnosis technology of electronically controlled engine,as well as the fusion of intelligent diagnosis direction of computer technology both at home and abroad.The advantages of the waveform diagnosis and the feasibility of the application of the virtual instrument in the fault diagnosis of the electronically controlled engine are summarized up.The work above lays a theoretical foundation and guidance direction for developing the fault diagnosis system.Secondly,studying the 1ZR-FE engine structure and working principle.Making research and analysis of the control mechanism,signal characteristics,fault investigation in the electronic control engine.Mastering the control principle between main sensors,actuators and ECU.The main components selection and construction of the electronic control engine test and control platform have been designed and made.The platform can satisfy the functions of real-time data measurement,fault setting and diagnosis and elimination.Thirdly,mastering the skills of using the Lab VIEW2013,and mastering how to use it to design a operation software including four parts : the User login,Main program function menu,Simulation and real-time waveform measurement and Result preservation.The software which makes the fault diagnosis system easy to operate and use,can really assist in troubleshooting target.Fourthly,the characteristics and the change rules of the signal waveform from thesensors and actuators are analyzed and summarized.Also the relationship between the fault and the standard waveform is also analyzed.The fault diagnosis system is debugged and tested,in order to improve the auxiliary function of the system and meet the requirements of the fault diagnosis.Finally,the test results have showed that,comparing with the traditional fault diagnosis instrument,the Waveform Analysis And Fault Diagnosis System Based On Lab VIEW has many advantages such as simple operation,low cost and strong development,which will improve the actual effect of maintenance,and provide reference and help for the teaching staff as well as professional scientific research in the auto repair industry.
