The Research On The Influence Of The Tourism Efficiency Of The Wu-Guang High Speed Railway Accessibility

Since the reform and opening-up,the development of China’s regional economy has begun to step into the stage of rapid growth.With the continuous optimization and upgrading of the proportion of three production,tourism is becoming more and more important in the service industry.The tourism industry is gradually developing into one of the important pillars of the third industry.The level of tourism development and tourism efficiency are affecting the development of tertiary industry in each city,and also affecting the comprehensive service level of each city service industry.Along with the construction and operation of high-speed railway network,accessibility of cities along the line has been greatly optimized and improved.How to improve the accessibility to urban tourism efficiency has become one of the problems worth exploring in academia.The paper will use accessibility indicators to empirically study the impact of the opening of Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway on the accessibility of cities along the line,and use the data envelopment analysis method to analyze and evaluate the tourism efficiency of the three provinces of Yue-Xiang-E through the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway.The paper first sorts out the related literatures about the economy,accessibility and tourism efficiency of high-speed railway,and on this basis,analyzes the influence mechanism of high-speed railway on tourism industry,which lays the theoretical foundation for the following mathematical analysis.Then,by means of qualitative and quantitative methods,the paper elaborates and analyzes the tourism status,tourism resources and the development trend of tourism industry in Guangdong,Hunan and Hubei provinces.Next,the definition,types and measurement methods of accessibility are discussed,and the change of accessibility of Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway is calculated.Finally,the DEA model is used to study the impact of urban accessibility changes along the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway on the tourism efficiency of the three provinces of Yue-Xiang-E.Based on the existing theories,combined with regional economics,industrial economics,econometrics and other disciplines,the tourism comprehensive efficiency,pure technical efficiency andscale efficiency of the three provinces are analyzed.After summarizing the full text,the paper puts forward some suggestions on the development of high-speed railway construction and tourism industry.After the empirical study,it is found that the opening and operation of high-speed railway has a significant role in promoting the tourism efficiency of the cities along the line.The fundamental reason lies in the improvement of accessibility,but the impact on different types of cities is not the same.When the initial tourism efficiency of the cities is low,the opening of high-speed railway can greatly improve the tourism efficiency of the cities.When the city’s initial tourism efficiency has reached a high level,the impact of high-speed railway on the tourism efficiency of the region will gradually weaken.Overall,high-speed railway can greatly improve the accessibility level of the cities along the line,thus effectively promoting the development of the corresponding tourism industry.
