Research On The Formation Mechanism Of Contractors' Consummate Performance Behavior Based On The Theory Of Planned Behavior

Complexity and integration of construction engineering highlights the importance of consummate performance behavior of the contractor.While,the focus on controlling opportunism behavior leads to the ignorance of the positive behavior.Although some scholars have realized that positive performance behavior plays a crucial role in implementing projects smoothly and improving project performance.But most studies examine the induction path only from one aspect,ignoring the complexity of behavioral decision and the voluntary of consummate performance behavior.Therefore,how to induce and motivate the contractor to offer consummate performance behavior voluntarily becomes a urgent question.The theory of planned behavior can effectively reveal the formation mechanism of consummate performance behavior.Firstly,this study makes an exploratory study on the key factors that affect consummate performance intention.Secondly,the paper proposes assumptions and model reveling the formation mechanism of consummate performance behavior.Finally,195 questionnaires are collected,and the reliability and validity of the scale is tested by SPSS software.The hypotheses and model are verified by SEM-PLS software.The results show that: 1)The driving mechanism of behavior intention-behavior can effectively revel the formation mechanism of consummate performance behavior under the influence of multiple factors;2)Consummate performance attitude has significant positive impact on the consummate performance intention.The contractor has good performance enthusiasm if the current contract price is perceived.However,the long-term income and the good relationship and cooperation by consummate performance is the most important driving force.3)The pressure from internal enterprise,competitive enterprises and policy will prompt the contractor to have the idea of good performance in a certain extent.But the promotion is not obvious;4)Performance capabilities of self-efficacy oriented has important influence on both consummate performance behavior and consummate performance intention.This study clarifies the connotation and dimension of consummate performance attitude,subjective norm and perceived behavioral control.Based on that,the study analyse and verities the inherent logic of the formation of consummate performance behavior of the contractor in order to provide advise for inducing consummate performance behavior...
