Synchronizer is the key component of the manual transmission,its performance directly affects the life of the gearbox and the smoothness of shifting.By setting up a synchronizer test bench of manual transmission,simulated the shifting process with a manipulator,analyzed the shifting force,shifting displacement and shifting shock,so as to evaluated the performance of synchronizer.This paper is supported by school-enterprise cooperation in actual research projects.Based on the demand side,refer to relevant literature at home and abroad,and in the light of national automobile industry standards,a new synchronizer test bench was set up and the design of control system was finished.The major content is as follows:1.Introduced the classification of synchronizer,analyzed the synchronization process and summarized the evaluation methods of shifting performance.2.Designed the overall layout and structure of the test bench system.The bench was divided into three modules:drive part,manipulator part and control system,and the details of three modules were introduced.3.PLC control program was designed and introduced in detail,the PC interface edited by LabVIEW was described briefly,the communication between PLC and PC was built.4.The shifting experiment was made on the test bench and some experience in the experiment were summarized for future reference.
