Analysis On The Application Of Regional Culture In The Interior Design Of Youth Hostel

Where there is demand,there will be market.Youth Hostel is a product of times for people seeking spiritual enjoyment when their material needs are satisfied.As the main user group of the youth hostel,the young people's main characteristics are their pursuit of individuality and artistic sense.In addition to economical efficiency and security,the most important factor for young people to choose youth hostel is cultural space of regional characteristics.The integration of regional culture adds finishing touch to youth hostel.It is found that most of the interior design in Youth Hostel has a relatively single presentation form of Xi'an regional culture,which can not meet the aesthetic needs of the people at present through the field investigation of 15 youth hostels in Xi'an.This thesis carried out study through the methods of literature review,field investigation,case analysis and sum-up.Firstly,it describes the concept and characteristics of regional culture and youth hostel and their relation.Secondly,based on the data obtained from the survey,it analyzes the interior design of five young hostels in Xi'an from four aspects,namely,the design theme,space furnishings,color selection and material use and then summarizes the existing problems in the interior design of the youth hostels in Xi'an at present.It then analyzes the interior design scheme of the well-run young hostels in domestic and proposes the application principles and strategies of the interior design of the youth hostel interior design that can show regional culture.Finally,the application principles and methods are applied to the reconstruction project of the youth hostel in Huimin Street at North Courtyard Gate,Lianhu District,Xi'an.With the design theme of Tang culture in Xi'an,this project has designed the new round embroidered flower ornamentation with main national flowerpeony of the Tang Dynasty through the deconstruction,deletion and reorganization of the round embroidered flower decorations of the Tang Dynasty.
