In recent years,the medical device industries have developed rapidly and various LED-based medical products have received widespread attention.For neonatal jaundice,especially the newborns,it is very important to reduce the negative effect and degrade the bilirubin levels rapidly and effectively.This article concentrates primarily on the research of LED light source of jaundice therapeutic devices.First of all,a special blue LED light source for the bilirubin degradation in vitro is produced by using a simple genetic algorithm based on the theory of spectral structuring,which takes the absorption spectrum of extracorporeal blood bilirubin as the target spectrum.And the special blue LED light source and other three kinds of jaundice therapeutic devices light sources are used for bilirubin degradation experiments.It suggests that the special blue LED light source produced by our group is more effective than other jaundice treatment light sources in the degradation of bilirubin,with larger degradation rate of bilirubin.Secondly,there are many factors in the skin that affect the spectral absorption of bilirubin.In order to make the luminescence spectrum of the jaundice treatment light source consistent with the absorption spectrum of bilirubin,the absorption spectra of bilirubin in blood with the scattering or absorbance of light radiation by the tissues in the epidermis and dermis of the skin are used to construct the more effective target spectrum of bilirubin degradation in vivo in this article.Furthermore,the monochromatic LEDs with different peak interval,peak wavelength and half-peak bandwidth are used to construct the target spectrum.The obtained spectrum has a high matching degree with the target spectrum,which provides a reliable theoretical basis for producing a more efficient blue LED jaundice treatment light source in our group.Finally,this paper studies the biological safety problems in different light sources jaundice therapeutic devices,the Optical Radiation Safety Test System OST-300 is used to test the radiation hazards of the special blue LED light source and other three kinds of jaundice treatment light sources.The study shows that the special blue LED light source has little photochemical UV damage and thermal hazards to skin.
