Study On The Renovation Of Traditional Residence In The Bencha Town Of Rudong County,Jiangsu Province

With the speed of construction and development of small towns in China,Local governments are also constantly reconstructing the residential areas of the town.It is a challenge for a general historical and cultural ancient town,which has just started and has a lower reputation.There are various and regional features of the traditional folk houses in the general ancient towns.It not only reflects the unique architectural space form the traditional national culture and the historical memory of the ancient town,and also reacts to the modern self renewal and change of the ancient town.With the acceleration of the process of urbanization in China,the improvement of the living standards of the people,these traditional houses which have the representative value of the times,have been severely impacted by modern civilization.Higher requirements have been put forward for the renovation and renewal.In this paper,Take the typical area of bencha ancient town in Nantong as an example.Through in-depth investigation、survey 、practical surveying and mapping,understand the material space characteristics of the traditional dwellings and the living and production of the residents.The rich characteristics of the ancient town dwellings were obtained.According to the time period,the traditional residence is divided into three types: the traditional houses before liberation,the traditional houses after liberation,and the local houses from 80 s to 90 s.From the two levels of region and residence,this paper analyzes and summarizes the current situation of residential area in terms of the overall spatial layout,typical courtyard type,architectural form,architectural structure and architectural details of the three kinds of dwellings.Select its representative plane type to draw and display the existing interior space.Then,according to the present situation,the existing problems and contradictions in the existing folk houses in the ancient town are summarized.Through the study of the cases in China and abroad,point out the contradictions between the current situation and the function and the technical environment of the people’s residence.The paper puts forward the design principles for the renovation and renewal of the traditional residence.The conclusions are the continue to enrich and enrich the texture of the old town,diversiform traditional residential landscape and transform of traditional culture,green regeneration and sustainable development of traditional houses,and the principle of "people-oriented".At the same time,it gives the corresponding reform strategy from the angle of the ancient town’s residential space,the plane,the elevation and the technology.And according to the previous classification,the design method of space and form renovation ofeach type of dwellings are explored.On the basis of solving the problem of living,combining with the needs of the future development of the ancient town,the renewal of its function has been completed through transformation to make the traditional residence new vitality.
