Servo valve is considered an important component of hydraulic system especially in aerospace field.Rapid development leads servo valve into micro level research to optimize and enhance the performance capabilities.O-ring type design of slide valve pair is outcome of researchers' effort which characterized based on large flow gain.The manufacturing and assembly of spool valve has large impact on the performance ability but spool valve grinding also considered a key factor.The most adaptive grinding measuring method is by using fluid properties.The mate-grinding for axial mate dimension of valve pair(spool and sleeve)is the key process during machining,and the axial mate dimension is called as overlap values.There is a test bench having a hydraulic measuring system for measuring the spool valve overlap value.A simulation setup of Hydraulic measurement system is set on AMESim simulation software.The parameters of slide valve pair are independently set in parameter mode which resulting the flow rate,pressure and leakage curves.These curves are based on governing equations and the parameters are depending upon the nonlinearities in spool valve including radial clearance,fillets and orifice opening.The acceptable parameter range can be determined by servo valve test standard.This study is also on measuring the dynamic response of axisymmetric spool pair.To analyze the displacement excitation of spool valve,a mathematical model of spool valve is equated by the technique of mechanical single-degree of freedom modeling.Two ideal axisymmetric 2D models of spool pair with clearance and without clearance are modeled and simulated on COMSOL Multiphysics for calculating the damping coefficient parameter.Fluid-Structure Interaction theory is used in COMSOL with ALE approach.The numerical results obtained by simulations in transient oscillation were further implemented with frequency analyzing tool and scaled by input force spectrum.Finally,an experimental studied is performed on actual test bench.The simulation results are tracked and validated with every parameter of test bench hydraulic system and spool pair.Experimental results showed that simulation assessment model is reliable and meet the production needs.
