The Application Of Gannan Hakka Architecture In Modern Residential Design

In southern China,Hakka is one of the seven ethnic groups in the Han nationality.As an important part of the Han nationality,Hakka is mainly distributed in three areas of Jiangxi,Guangdong and Fujian.Although Hakka people have the same living customs and cultural characteristics,it can be found that the Hakka buildings in each area have their own characteristics according to the environment.Gannan is the cradle of Hakka.The traditional Hakka buildings in the south of Jiangxi are mainly divided into two kinds of house combination type and enclosed house,which are the main living space of the local Hakka people,and have high cultural and historical practical value.The hall houses combined residential buildings are the main local residential buildings in southern Jiangxi Province,mainly distributed in the northeast of Jiangxi Province.The South Gannan enclosure is different from the enclosed round rounded building in Fujian and the semi enclosed enclosure in the north of Guangdong Province,and the most of the enclosure houses in South Jiangxi are square enclosed space,which has strong defensive and counter encirclement and suppression ability during the period of social turbulence.The combination of halls and houses in the south of Jiangxi is the material carrier of the history of the south of Jiangxi Province.It reflects the important information of the Hakka people in the south of Jiangxi Province,such as the ideological culture,the social appearance and the way of life.Through consulting the literature and visiting the field in the field,a thorough investigation of the Hakka buildings in southern Jiangxi has been made to understand the historical and cultural background and construction methods of the residential buildings in southern Jiangxi,and to explore the social and cultural and spatial needs of the Hakka people in southern Jiangxi.With the rapid development of modern cities,all regions are based on local culture,and the living style of local residents and Ganzhou-centered Hakka settlements in southern Jiangxi have also undergone dramatic changes.Traditional Hakkas' housing needs to make certain changes along with the changes of the times,so as to conform to the modern Hakka people's living needs.According to the rich Hakka cultural atmosphere in the south of Jiangxi,the Hakka dwellings in the southern Jiangxi Province not only conform to the basic needs of the Hakka people in the south of Jiangxi,but also meet the thoughts and feelings of the Hakka people and the needs of the inheritance of the Hakka architectural form.Based on literature review,we understand the historical and cultural background of Hakka architecture in southern Jiangxi.In addition,an investigation is made to investigate the actual situation of the local residential buildings in southern Jiangxi,and to analyze the characteristics of the Hakka building in southern Jiangxi and the cultural customs behind it and the humanistic characteristics of Hakka in southern Jiangxi.In order to fully understand the cultural connotation of the Hakka architectural form in Gannan,based on the design method of modern dwellings and rational and sensibility,the author puts forward the design suggestions for the modern dwellings in southern Jiangxi.
